Children and Young People's Mental Health in the Digital Age
Almost half of the world is connected to the internet. For children and young people today, being online and using social media have become an integral part of their lives. In 2015, a typical 15-year-old had been using the internet since age 10 and spent more than two hours every weekday online after school, and more than three hours on a weekend day. This reliance on digital technology has fuelled concerns from parents, teachers, governments and young people themselves.
